Below, we explain how it works and how to set it up correctly.
How It Works
The SMOWL system captures images from two angles: your computer's main camera and a second camera, such as your mobile phone or tablet.
You don't need to install any apps on your second device. Simply scan the QR code that appears on the screen, and the system will automatically begin monitoring your environment.
How to Position the Second Camera
To ensure effective monitoring, follow these guidelines when positioning your secondary device:
Side Position: Place it to one side to get a lateral view of yourself and your workspace.
Correct Framing: Make sure the camera simultaneously captures:
Your face.
Your computer screen.
Your desk and hands.
Clear Workspace: Your desk must be free of unpermitted items, such as notes, headphones, other mobile phones or tablets, and additional monitors.

Analysis of Results
The images captured by the second camera are analyzed using the same criteria and filters applied as to the computer's front camera, ensuring consistency in monitoring.
